The mission of West County READS is to promote, support, and encourage efforts to increase children literacy and family literacy in West Contra Costa County.

One way this is achieved is by providing free books to the community through events and programs. Another effort is maintaining the Educators Book Depot for all persons working with groups of students. WCR encourages all children read or be read to 20 minutes each day!
